Extra Chewing Gum | Regional Activation

We were recently tasked with activating Extra Chewing Gum across the UAE and Kuwait in effort to promote their entire product range and collect data – and the results were truly amazing!

Let’s start with the booth:
To showcase Extra’s full range of products in a way that caught people’s attention, we created a custom Extra bottle-shaped booth which also functioned as a product display stand. Sleek and fresh, the booth was inviting thanks to its open-faced design and bright built-in screen.

Where did we go?
Our collection of fully-branded custom iboothme photo booths were used across 3 locations in Kuwait and 7 locations in the UAE, including venues like Carrefour and Lulu Hypermarket – which had people queueing up in excitement to snap their picture.

How it worked:
Our cheerful brand ambassador welcomed people to the stand and explained how they could snap a cool picture with Extra. Upon tapping into the fully-branded software interface, consumers were able to customise their picture frames based on a variety of Extra Chewing Gum flavours. So every time they changed a flavour, the colours and frame designs would change accordingly, giving them a way to express themselves while relating to the brand in an engaging way. Consumers’ names were also printed on their picture for a personal touch, followed by a special brand message during the data collection phase.

Instant image prints were given at the stand, but without any free sampling, therefore encouraging sales for an impulse product that is usually only remembered at the checkout counter.

EXTRA results:
The activation was an absolute success! During the period of 2 months, our visual marketing solution software was able to capture:
– Over 15,000 branded consumer photos
– More than 15,000 email addresses linked to each photo
– Above 2,500 shares on social media
– 1,000+ image downloads from the branded microsite

We’re happy to say that our client was extremely overwhelmed and beyond satisfied with these results – which was, after all, our most important goal.
